Southeastern Lake Management Conference 2018
Stirring the Waters: Innovations in Lake Management
April 16- 18, 2018
The theme of the Conference reflects the high value and dedication the NALMS membership has for protecting the quality of our most precious natural resource. Not only is water fundamental to all life, but it is also used in nearly all aspects of human activity. Our challenge is to manage, in the face of increasing and often conflicting demands, this valuable resource. This Conference provides an opportunity to highlight innovations in technology and science and how they relate to the quality of our waters while simultaneously highlighting the technical guidance required to intelligently manage our aquatic resources into the future.
The projected attendance for the Southern Lake Management Conference 2018 is 125-175 registrants. Delegates will represent resource managers; researchers; consulting firms; corporate and environmental program managers; state, local, and federal government agencies; environmental engineers; lake property owners’ organizations; and educational professionals.
The Conference provides great buyer potential for the limited number of exhibitors with products and services related to lakes, reservoirs, and their tributaries; water quality; pollution control; nonpoint source control; engineering services; fisheries; restoration of impaired sites; recreation; scientific and engineering publications; and media services for information programs.
The 2018 Conference Exhibit Hall will be located in the DoubleTree-Biltmore where all conference sessions are to be held. Refreshment breaks, meals, poster sessions, plenary, and the silent auction will be on the exhibit floor, thereby ensuring that the attendees will have ample opportunities to explore all of Conference 2018’s exhibitors. The schedule for this year’s Conference will also provide the exhibitors with time to participate in various sessions during the day.
